Audience Research

For the research of creating my own college magazine, I have created a questionnaire to find out what students would like to see in the new college magazine. From my results i have found out that 40% of people wouldn’t pay for it. I asked students what they wanted to see in the magazine and the 4 with the most marks would be chosen these are - music, college parties, gossip and agony aunt. These four topics will create the cover lines of my magazine. The majority of people said they would rather the magazine be published monthly consisting of 10-20 pages. 70% of students have said that they would prefer to have more pictures in the magazine than writing, and would want it to be a4 sized. Half of the people have said that it would encourage them to read it if there were competitions in the magazine. 70% of students said that they would like their work published in the magazine. Because I only asked a small amount of students what they wanted for my resarch, next time i will ask a wider range of people. I will be using the information gained from my questionnaire to create my magazine.
